Do you have a dream or idea that’s been living within your heart for quite some time? Well, why haven’t you pursued it yet? What are you waiting on? It’s not enough to say you have a dream or a great idea and allow it to remain stagnant or unfulfilled. Don’t allow the graveyard to steal your dreams, hopes, and aspirations. The graveyard? Yes, the graveyard! Time is of essence and we allow far too much time to pass before we try to fulfill the vision that has been living within our hearts and spirits. One day, we will be out of time! Then what?
I believe God gives us dreams and aspirations to not only enhance our own lives but to bless our neighbors, near and far. But ultimately, to bring glory to His name! We glorify God when we operate in our callings and use our gifts and talents to edify others! It is wonderful to know that God is the one that assigned gifts and talents. He did not ask anyone’s approval either. Yet, we allow the opinion of others to rob us of our confidence to pursue what we would like to do.
You are capable of doing ANYTHING you set your mind to do! So, get the lead out. Get a nice tablet and a good writing pen and begin to write down your goals. Assign dates to those goals and break down how you are going to accomplish those goals, step-by-step. You can do it! Because God has already spoken over your life. He has already given you the big picture and it is up to us to step out on faith. Put in the hard work, develop our skills, gifts, and talents, and see how our gifts will make room for us and the opportunities that will unfold before us.
I myself, have begun writing down my goals and actually planning. I can recall for several years, I would buy a nice planner with the intentions of writing things down more and planning and writing down all the ideas and things that continue to swirl through my mind. However, after a couple of days, I would drift away from writing down the things I needed and wanted to do. The early part of November, I saw the need to be committed to writing down my goals, planning, and being committed to a schedule. I know in order to stick to a planned schedule would require commitment and discipline. This time I was ready. I have been writing down, planning, and adhering to a schedule. I must admit, there are some days that I have to double up because I cannot bring myself to do anything after a challenging day. It is not a perfect process. I am not perfect but I do see an improvement and can appreciate how my planned days hold me accountable to get things done and moving forward for my goals to manifest. A small amount of time spread over several days is far better than trying to cram everything in at the last minute. I am learning. LOL!
Friends, I am excited for what I believe God is going to do in the days ahead! I know there will be challenges and difficulties but God will continue to make provision for His elect. I am so glad our hope is not in this present world but in a God that sees, hears, and cares for His own. Blessed Assurance Jesus is mine! So, I am encouraging you to launch out in the deep and walk on water (figuratively)! Chase your dreams. Do not let another day go by without working towards it. You are capable of achieving the very thing that lives in your heart. Because God said so…..
I am rooting for you and praying for you!
Until next time friends,
Blessings
